【Exhibition Economic and Trade News】 Kenyan Buyers are Coming to China to Purchase!

Recently, Mr. Yousuf, a buyer from ImpalaGlass Kenya, and his company executive, Mr. Mutaza, arrived in Shandong for survey. Mr. Yousuf is one of the VIP buyers invited in the pre-direction of this year’s Kenya International Industry Expo and is a Kenyan of Pakistani descent. Established in 1932, ImpalaGlass Kenya is a local family business dealing in architectural and automotive glass products.

The main purpose of this Shandong visit is to conduct field visits to the enterprises that have reached cooperation intentions during the Kenya International Industry Expo, including several enterprises in the fields of aluminum profiles, sealants, styrofoam, Pvb film, glass, and so on. Through the field survey, we have a deep understanding of the production capacity, product quality, and cooperation potential of these enterprises and further promote the development of cooperation between the two sides in the relevant fields.

In Linqu, Weifang, Mr. Yousuf conducted an in-depth investigation and negotiation on the aluminum profiles and sealant products of several enterprises. Linqu is the first county of aluminium profiles in China (north of the Yangtze River) and the industrial base of aluminium profiles in China, with an annual production capacity of 1.8 million tons, accounting for 1/4 of the province, and an annual output value of more than 36 billion yuan. Linqu aluminium profile industry chain from the upper reaches of the extruder, coating equipment manufacturing, to the middle reaches of the aluminium profile processing, to the lower reaches of the doors and windows, home manufacturing, all kinds of enterprises, aluminium profile industry in Linqu has also led to the development and growth of sealant, mould, glass, and other supporting industries. Sitting on the advantages of the sealant and aluminium profile industry cluster, Linqu enterprises have significant advantages in price and quality. Although the African economy is developing rapidly, the overall economic level is still limited. Therefore, the African market mainly imports affordable aluminium alloy profile products.

Mr. Yousuf visited the manufacturing process of sealant and learned more about the raw material processing, finished product making, and equipment operation. He showed great interest in the products and equipment and had an in-depth discussion on the price and purchasing volume. Mr. Yousuf pointed out that sealants are widely used in both automotive and construction fields, and there are many brands in the Kenyan market, but the quality of products varies. His purpose for this visit is to find a reliable partner through learning and importing high-quality raw materials and equipment, so as to build up his own quality brand in Kenya. During this visit, Mr. Yousuf signed order contracts for aluminium profiles, sealants, styrofoam products, and related equipment with three enterprises in Linqu County, respectively, with the first transaction volume of 3-5 cabinets, and the subsequent orders are still under negotiation.

Afterward, the buyer traveled to Zibo and Tai’an for a visit about PVB film and glass, respectively. During this visit to Shandong, Mr. Yousuf carried a large number of purchase orders. In the end, they basically reached a cooperation agreement with the enterprises. According to the enterprises, Mr. Yousuf’s auto glass purchasing demand is large, so they will increase the production of the workshop to meet the demand.

Mr.Yousuf said that the visit to Shandong was very rewarding, and the enterprises survey were the source factories of the industry, which successfully achieved the purpose of the visit. He expressed his gratitude to Kenya International Industry Expo and Afripeak Expo (Kenya) for the careful reception of their visit.
